I feel like just yesterday I walked into Brinkley's bedroom to meet her and was so excited to have what we all thought was going to be the quickest easiest session ever. Brinkley quickly taught us differently. She showed us how even someone only a few days old can be boss and knows exactly what she wants. I LOVE strong personalities like hers, they show the most personality and character. Over the next few months Brinkley still carried this "knows what she wants" trait, but was such an absolute delight to be around how could you not give her everything she wants. She has been nothing but smiles everytime I have been around her. Her parents always tell me they are sorry she made me work so hard, when all I'm thinking, "how is this considered work? She keeps me laughing the entire time." The only thing that would make it better is if I could set my camera down and completely plug in to her mesmerizing personality. Every time I tell them just wait till we can do a session outdoors. You will see that this is what she loves and she will really let loose...
...and I was right. Brinkley showed up for her session looking like she didn't feel good at all. Her mom told me she had been sick all weekend but that they would give it a try. From the moment I walked up, I saw the beautiful twinkle in Brinkley's eye I look forward to seeing, and knew amongst not feeling good it was still going to be exactly how I expected it to be...PERFECT! She didn't prove me wrong for a second! She came ready to smile and light the whole orchard up with her charm. I have completely fallen into her charming spell. It is a good thing she is not one of my own. I am pretty sure she would be the world's most terrifying kid because I don't think I could ever tell her no especially when she looked at me with her big blue eyes.
Happy Birthday Brinkley! I feel so lucky to have got to spend your first year of life learning about you. You are going to be an amazing person that will go very far in life! Keep that sweet charming personality you posess, and you will never have a problem having good friendships surrounding you!
