Josephine Turns 2

Last Saturday Josephine, her family, and I spent an hour of her actual birthday playing at the park. It is so amazing to see how much a child grows up in just one year. Josephine went from just barely walking last year to full on running this year. She was so hard to keep up with. Her dad told me that a few days prior he brought her to the park and spent an hour running up and down the hill. This girl has some serious energy; I guess it's a great workout for her parents. Not only is Josephine super active, her little personality is totally developing. She entertained us with her adorable little faces and curiousity. It is so hard to believe that she had such a rocky start to life when she was born unresponsive because today she is anything but unresponsive; that is if she feels like being responsive (**wink wink**)!

Daniel and Jennifer, it was such a pleasure to see you guys again. Your family is so beautiful and so enjoyable to get to know. Josephine is absolutely precious and I look forward to watching her grow!

Josephine has some of the most hysterical faces she likes to make at you! Here was one of the many she made for me!

She is one very loved little girl

Of course bubbles were the "it" item for her at the park! What kid doesn't love bubbles, though!

Oh My Gosh so I had this brilliant idea for Daniel and Jennifer to take Josephine for a walk along the bike path and play "one, two, three, lift". I think after the 20th time of them doing this with Josephine they weren't too thrilled with my idea anymore. She did not want to stop!!!! But at least it made for some great pictures.

Miss Josephine finished our time off with a huge kiss she sent me from behind the tree (right before a meltdown of course). She is so adorable!

Junior League Wedding: Kiersten + David

They're the type of people who love to embrace the style of the past. They love doing things out of the ordinary; they are original! David and Kiersten planned the most beautiful wedding embracing their love for vintage in a 1920's themed wedding. They incorporated all the fun they enjoy in their day to day life to share in a memorable day to extend their gratitude for their closest family and friends who have helped mold them into the fun loving people they are today. They not only accomplished this feat of vowing to love one another daily for the rest of their life, they did it with style and class; exactly how they will celebrate the rest of their lives together.

Under a beautifully lit golden sunset David and Kiersten promised to love each other for better or worse, in sickness and health, as long as they both shall live. Together they will continue to live life as originals through their fun loving silly qualities, and will continue on with their love and appreciation of the style and class of the past, but they will do it connected together wearing their rings that bind them together for their lifetime!

Kiersten and David I hope you enjoyed your amazing honeymoon and were able to soak up in relaxation and marvel in your new titles as husband and wife! Thank you so much for allowing us to go back to the beautiful past and document your amazing day, and for treating us just like your closest family and friends. You truly made us feel like we were very much a part of your family! We wish you only the best in life.

. . . . The day began at the beautiful Padre Hotel where nerves were running high, but the goofiness and happiness of being surrounded by their closest friends and family was still shining bright.

I love when clients decide to do a first look! It allows for some of the most sentimental moments to be captured! Kiersten really wanted to have this moment but also wanted to keep it a surprise until she walked down the aisle so we decided to compromise the ideas and have a special few minutes for her to see David, but David wasn't allowed to see her. I must say David was a great sport! I am sure the anticipation was killing him!

Of course being the fun and silly couple they are, they had to include their bridesmaids and groomsmen in on this time!

The ceremony and the reception took place at the Junior Leauge. It was so beautifully decorated with gorgeous flowers, lace, candles, lights, and even a candy bar. It truly was an amazing day!

"Tea Parties and Tickle Monsters; Kynadee Turns Three"

There is nothing more rewarding as a photographer than watching the kids you photograph grow up right before your eyes.

Kynadee has grown from an infant into a beautiful spunky little girl! She is definitely one of the most opinionated little girls I have ever met and I just love the inner strength she possesses. Lacey always has a vision for her sessions which I love to create for her. This time was one of my favorites. Being that she has been a single teen mom, Kynadee has grown up having an abundance of play time with her mom. I am sure this means more to Kynadee than Lacey will ever know. So for her 3rd birthday pictures Lacey wanted to have a tea party with Kynadee (like Kyna loves to do on a daily basis).  We didn't quite think this idea through a head of time though; we jumped right into a tea party when we should have used this as the reward for her taking a few posed pictures alone for us, but all in all it turned out memorable.

Kynadee wasn't feeling up to par the day we went out to the field, but she still enjoyed her mama time! Lacey does an amazing job spending good quality time with her and I am sure this will be a memorable session for Kynadee. I mean what girl wouldn't love to have the tickle monster come alive during her session, some good old daredevil tree climbing, and of course a beautiful tea party with real tea! Happy Belated 3rd Birthday Kynadee! I hope all your wishes came true!

"Mommy and Me"

Teagan is Rochelle's whole world. There is nothing more special than a mother's love and bond with her daughter, and Rochelle does an amazing job giving Teagan all the love she could ever want.  I believe the last time I saw Teagan and Rochelle for pictures was when Teagan was turning one. It's crazy how fast time flies, Teagan has gotten so big and has so much personality. She kept us laughing. She is one very happy little girl and I know it is because of the love she gets at home. This is one very special Mother's Day gift Rochelle treated herself to and I think it will probably be one of the most amazing gifts she will cherish forever!

Little Miss Personality!

After taking some mommy and me pictures we let Teagan show us one of her favorite play time events; dressing up! She is so cute with her little cowboy hat, princess dress, a purse, and of course her little cowgirl boots! All the articles a princess could ever need!

Teagan even put on the best rock concert I have ever been too! I still have the beautiful barbie song playing in my head! Isn't she the cutest?

Teagan, dream big girl because you will definitely have the world at your finger tips the way you light up the room!
