You could feel the sun blazing off the hot desert ground, birds chirping as they frolicked in the sky, the river roaring in the far off distance, and quiet playful bantering between two individuals who have fallen hard for each other.
Victor and Mercedes met in their high school chemistry class. Mercedes quickly fell hard for this goofy fun-loving guy that stood out among all the typical high school boys; she knew he was the man that would be able to love all her quirks and clumsy tendencies. It wasn’t until a year later that Victor finally asked her on their first date, which Mercedes refers to as the “worst movie ever for a first date”, The Girl Next Door. Obviously Mercedes didn’t feel their date compared to the horrible movie they sat awkwardly together at because it's eight years later and they are creating the most exciting movie ever, in their eyes…the love story of Victor and Mercedes.
After spending some time together with them last week I know that they have what it takes for a long fruitful marriage…the art of making each other laugh, and I am so excited to have the pleasure of documenting their wedding later this fall.
So I decided to have Victor and Mercedes do a little art project for a picture idea I saw and wanted to recreate. I'm pretty sure my idea moved me to the top of Victor's "least favorite people" list, but it was worth it completely.
Victor thanks for being such a great sport for me...you rock and gave me the exact pictures I was looking for!
