The Napier Family

A couple of weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the amazing Etcheverry family. They were some of the sweetest people that I instantly connected with. Monday afternoon I had the opportunity to meet Nanette's sister, Stephany, and her family who were equally as amazing!

This family was so much fun. The kids instantly showed me what characters they were and had all sorts of fun ideas for me. The kids even got their parents to participate in a few silly face photos by the end of the session. When I go into a session I try to think of ways to make the session fun and bring out the family's personal connections between each other, and when I get families like the Napiers and Etcheverrys my job is super easy and reminds me why I love my job so much!

It only took about ten minutes before the personality started to surface . . .

Luke, the youngest kept begging me to take pictures of just his parents alone. I couldn't figure out why until I finally gave in and told them it was a parents only picture . . . the kids had been planning a photo bomb! It cracked me up! I love that they felt comfortable enough with me to goof around with me!

I asked the boys what they wanted to write on their board after they tied their sister up and they both yelled stinky sister for sale. After Stephany wrote that for them, Jimmy had to add in 1 cent, cracked me up!

Right before the end of the appointment, Caroline reminded me that when I took her cousin's pictures I had fake snow for them to blow, so of course I had to have some for Caroline and her brothers also! It was such a fun way to end our time together! Thanks for the amazing evening guys!

Two Brothers, Two Beautiful Wives, and Three Adorable Cousins!

What do you get when you have two brothers, with two beautiful wifes . . .

. . . along with their adorable girls

 . . . that aren't just cousins, but friends?

One amazingly beautiful, . . .

 . . . a little bit sassy,

 . . . a little bit fun,

and a whole lot of goofy times together!

. . . That make for the best family pictures ever!

The Etcheverry Family

It's not everyday you meet a family and instantly feel like you have known them all your life. The Etcheverry Family was so warm, sweet, and I couldn't help but feel an instant connection with them. The whole family is beautiful all the way through.

The girls were so adorable with all of their picture ideas and how much they loved coming up with pose ideas for me. We had a blast just being silly, looking at the beautiful pond, and eating candy canes. What more can you ask for than a day in the park? It was a wonderful relaxing session, especially for me when I am nearing the end of this wonderful holiday season!

The Serda Family

I get so nervous before appointments with new clients! I have a million things running through my head! What if I forget a picture idea, what if they don't like my style, what if I say something that upsets them, what if . . . what if . . . what if . . .??

This past weekend both my sessions were with new clients, talk about stress being at an all time high for me. I was driving from Lake Isabella Sunday morning so of course I allowed more than enough time to arrive at my appointment on time. That was a mistake! It allowed me to sit there and stress myself out even more! So when Wendy pulled up I wanted to run to the bathroom and hide, but instead I got out of the car, walked up, and introduced myself. She looked so familiar, but I couldn't pin point where I knew her from. I told her how familiar she looked, and she said, "well that's because we were all in a wedding you photographed last year". Instantly, I felt my nerves calm and my head get screwed back on! Thank goodness it's someone I relatively know.

When we walked down to the river I asked her kids their names and told them I would do my best to remember them! The girls started . . . Lauryn, Taylor, . . . and then we came to the boys (I prefer to call them punks) . . . Brock and Brady! They switched names on me, you think it wouldn't be a big deal, but seriously this time of year I am lucky to remember one name let alone six! The boys set the tone then and there. I knew exactly what this family was about, and I loved it! Inside I screamed,  "YAY"! I can be myself and play around with them.  It was so much fun to use more adult humor. I am so used to being around young kids so I definitely had a blast being a brat right back to them. It wasn't just the boys though . . . Lauryn (the 9 yr. old) was hilarious. The things that came out of this little girls mouth had me rolling! Thanks guys for taking the panic out of me, and allowing me to relax and enjoy our time together! I had such a great time with all of you!
